Is this LG a good incubator

The air sack is on the big end of the egg. The pointy bottom end goes down into to turner. You can use a pencil to mark the air cell development and it shows you how the chick is progressing.
It doesn't work so well on the super dark Marans eggs though. I had no idea what was going on in most of them the time I hatched them.

Okay thank you. I have heard the coturnix quail are easy to have and easy to incubate. So I hope this is true. Lol I'm learning so much. I can't wait to get started!

And I just thought I'd say to make sure you order the quail turners because I think the chicken egg turners will be too large.

I think I'm going to get this one seems like the best deal since It comes with two the incubator and also the turner. So I hope this one works out. This is the best that I could find.

Does it say it comes with quail racks? You *may* be able to order directly from GQF for cheaper.

Very nice I have a modified shed myself, I use it as a brooder coop.

Just make sure there is enough venting at the top of the walls. I bought 2 house style vents for my wall peaks but it still isn't enough air flow even with the roof ridge vent. It gets HOT in there during the summer.

Ours actually has two doors ones cut out of the side of the shed and one is a actual door. So they'll be plenty of air flow. I am using the other half of the shed for the brooding coop. Going to hang some heat lamps in there.

Okay perfect thanks for the tips. That helps a lot I think my first thing to do is get a incubator. And yes I will also get a light fir candling. How do you know where the air sack is? I'm really new to all of this thanks for your help!

The air sack should be at the top of the large end.

I use LG's and do OK with them............
I did have a learning curve though....
There is a thread for hatching with LG'S
You could probably find it under search.
Mine was just under $100.00 with a turner................
