Is this like a duck's version of an ingrown hair?

I was taking video of my duck's grooming after a bath, and found this near the tail of my Muscovy. Is this normal?

I almost had a heart attack at those pictures 😂. Stared at them for like a full minute because I thought your duck had a giant gaping wound in it. Took me a sec to see the oil gland haha.

But yes that is totally normal! It's supposed to be there 😊.
 
I thought that Muscovy's did not have an oil gland and that was why they had all of that red on their faces which they use to oil their feathers. So they have an oil glad plus the glands on their faces?
