Is this lock secure enough?

I got two of them to put a few feet from eachother on the coop door - will that be enough to protect against racoons, etc.?

very easy to open unless you put a lock through the hole. we have these on all out gates and i use locks to keep the from being opened from the outside.

I would think since you have two a few feet from each other it might be okay. You have to lift them both at the same time to open the door right? I have one of these on my door with a carabiner through the hole and its worked fine, so that is another option.

Thanks! You do have to open them both at the same time - a carabiner through one is a good idea

Yeah, just put the carabiner through the hole in the top one so you have to take it off and then hold them both to open the door. Sounds good to me! We havn't had anything break into our coop as of yet and we have the same system on both doors(coop and run) and on the nest box which is only a foot and a half up from the ground.

I seem to read varying things but basically the mindset is if a 2-5yo can unlock a coon can lol So think complicated but yet not so we cannot get in, i padlock my duck barn, it has a hasp but it also has a full wooden door, the chicken coop has a slide latch with a carabiner stuck through it.
