Is this mating behavior?

I have a Mallard that is acting different. I pretty sure this is mating behavior, but want to be sure. Hes been puffing his head feathers out and standing strait up, and putting his tail up in the air. Then he makes a real low sound. It almost sounds like a Grouse.. its really weird.

Its so funny when the drakes do that- usually I will have one do it- and a few other will join in and do it too. It does sound strange though...

Mine sometimes even make a sound that makes me think there is a stray donkey in my yard. I should have said in my first post as well...that it also sometimes follows mating- when the drake will jump out of the pool- run half way around it- do his little dance move- and just wander off like nothing has happened.
