is this mean?

thats like saying " Is it okay to throw my infant in the air?" it sounds horrible but every fathers done it.
I'm not sure who's face I like seeing best when doing that. My son's or my wife's.

i can provide a link if u don’t get what i’m talking about
It's probably best you don't. If someone really want's to see it, you could consider sending it to them via private message. Besides already being a bit controversial (see 2 post above), animal right tends to be a hot issue, with people sitting on both side of the fence. As some have stated, and I agree, context is everything, but not everyone will agree with you. It's a good way to start arguments.
No judgement could possibly be made from the description provided.
I strongly disagree. This is the internet, and speaking for other is not always the best plan of action.

That being said, in most situation I don't think tossing a duck is a great idea. I also have a few ducks that will jump out of my hand and flap like there is no tomorrow and seem to love it.

I just really hesitate to call something abuse without any context.

Maybe you should request the link be sent to you in a private message. I assure you though, posting the link is not a grand idea. If you go to the bottom of any page on the site and click on terms & rules, #11 in the Don'ts section addresses divisive topics and discourages them. They are not against the rules, but one member has already publicly said he doesn't want to see it. So I would suggest the OP does not post it.

Lol I don’t have a dog in this fight. I don’t care to see the video. Thanks though.
I was just stating that it’s impossible for me (not speaking for others) to answer a question about a serious allegation without knowing what even happened.

I'm not a mod, so take my post for what you will. If it's posted I'll click it, but after that I'll be waiting for the trolling to start. Sitting here with my popcorn. :pop

No trolling from this gal. Only mentioned the link bc she offered to post it if more info was needed to make a judgement and it really is in my opinion. But I can see how someone could take that as wanting to further a nasty debate. It wasn’t a thought in my mind though.

Ahh, I don't think you want to further a nasty debate, sorry if it read that way. I also agree with you that without really knowing what is being asked, passing judgement is not all that good of an idea either. It's just a touchy subject, and if it get out of hand, the mods will step in. There was a thread not long ago, maybe a week, started off with a simple question, ended with lots of people arguing, peoples posts getting moderated and changed, then the thread shut down.

If it's sent in a PM though, then it's a bit different. Plus @slordaz specifically said they did not want to see it.

Sorry if that was taken as an attack.

Nope. All’s well. Must’ve missed the other poster saying they didn’t want to see it. Just don’t want anyone thinking I’m baiting an argument or speaking for others as that’s never my intent.
I must miss all of the drama as this forum seems pretty helpful and relatively drama free. I agree it should be kept that way.

At the risk of inviting all sorts of criticism, I do “launch” my geese and ducks off the dock into the lake, they seem to enjoy their “duckercise”, especially on a windy day they can achieve a surprising amount of lift. I started doing it with the ducks because I felt so sorry for them when they’d try to fly in the yard, they’d flap like mad and only get up on their tippy toes no matter how hard they tried!
