Is this molting?

Could someone tell me if my girl is having a molt or maybe my rooster has a favorite? I've never been through any kind of molting with my chickens yet so I don't have a clue about it.. My other girls are fine

I checked and i didn't see anything.. those black specks on her are dirt from the roosters feet he jumped on her right before this picture.

Well just today i saw him mount her 3 times in about 30 minutes.. I haven' been able to be outside with them because of the cold so I can't be sure. She started looking like this last week.

Are the feathers just missing from her back or all over. Normally if she's molting she would be missing feathers all over. If its just on her back around where he mounts her it could be from him. Could she being bullied by another hen as feather pecking could be another reason.

Doesn’t look like molting. Looks like the rooster really like her. Making a hen saddle can help keep her back protected while the feathers grow in.

How many hens do you have per roo? She is likely more submissive and a favorite, but having too few hens per rooster can also contribute. 10 to 1 is a good ratio. The feathers will likely not come back in until the next molt, sometimes sooner, but usually not.

Yeah that is a lot. That is probably your problem.

It does look like mating damage, but the hen in the fourth picture appears to have feather damage that is more like feather picking/plucking so it might be a combination of both.
