Is this normal ? - 2 Year old barred rocks, getting one egg out of 4 hens

I have 4 barred rocks. They completed 2 years.
The egg production dropped to 1 per day out of 4 hens.
They all look healthy, large red combs.

I know production depends on lot of factors, but is it normal to drop it to such level ?
Are they free ranging too much and got spoiled ?

That's happened to me a few times, and I had to lock up my girls for half days, for about a week to get them laying in the nest boxes again. I think sometimes, they like free ranging so much, they start laying their eggs outside, like under a bush or in some cubby hole.......

So I lock mine up until I get home from work at 5pm, and then I let them all out until dusk. Then pretty soon, I see more eggs. Works like a charm.
