Is this normal brooding plate behavior?

Good morning!

Our 10 chicks are 10 days old. I had raised my heating plate height in front and back (it is at an angle) as they have gotten quite a bit bigger, and removed their brooder guard. They slept like this last night! Is this normal behavior for 10 day old chicks with a heat plate, or would you recommend I change something? Thank you for you input!

If they aren't complaining then don't worry about it. That's an awfully small plate for that number of chicks.

I’m glad you said that! It’s advertised for “20 chicks or 10-12 older birds”, but I’ve been feeling the same way!
