I have an oeg roo.At 5:30 in the morning he crows.Im ok with that but the thing is he does it every 4 seconds for about 40 minutes. And he does that about midday to.Is this what most roos do?

Mine go off at 2:30am, 4:30am, and 6am every morning/night. One will let out the first crow and that gets the other 4 going. I even hear the 10 week old Boys crowing from their starter houses.

Completely normal. If I don't hear them crow I actually start to worry that something is wrong.

I'm lucky, my serama roo starts at about 8am, and he doesn't crow much at all through out the day... We did have an EE roo that started at 5am, and was like the energizer bunny... He kept going and going and going and going... So, yep, your guy is normal

I'm learning the hard way, having my first beautiful Barred Rock Rooster named Big Mike! Yes it's totally normal, and thank goodness my nieghbors are awesome, cause for the first two days we had him he crowed non stop every 30 seconds all day long. He's better now, he crows starting at 5 am for about 2 hours, every 2 minutes or so and now and then during the day and then again in the evening starting around 6:30 for another 2 hours. Plus he'll crow every time I go check eggs or feed and water.

Our OEGB rooster only crows for a while in the morning. In the beginning though, he'd crow here and there all day long. I guess once he got a feel for the place and settled in, he calmed down.

I wonder if yours won't do the same.

very normal it has a lot to do with comunication as to the location of each group of the flock.
