Is this normal or infected??

No no no, you explained it wonderfully, really! I just get/see/hear so many different opinions sometimes, it all can be a bit confusing. ;) Between the two of you now, I totally understand and get, how & why to use the blue kote. It's also a great antiseptic, seals things up really nice. I love using it on our horses. One loves to rub her rear on the mesquite trees, then comes back with a small wisp of a branch attached. I use it on her after pulling them out. LoL
Ohhhhh horses 🙄😂😂

Yup, 2 hay burning clowns, that love to wreck fencing.... roflmao That's ok, this spring, they are gonna get a surprising "jolt" when we electrify it. That will stop that nonsense. But seriously, I love my 2 rescues that nobody wanted, and wouldn't trade them for the world. He saved my life 4 winters ago, when I fell hitting my head and passed out. He kept me warm until I came to.

Amazing story! I have 3 of my own. My gelding has been my best friend for 17 years. I got my hands on his mama 3-4 years ago ( I learned to ride on her as a kid). My 3 year old I got for when my other 2 retire 😄

Ahhhhhh such a lovely picture, they are gorgeous!! That is pretty cool, tracking down the mom. Kudos to you!

Oh you did wonderfully! I love your avatar by the way! Does she have a name?
Oh the Avatar is just a bucket list snake that was sunning on my porch recently. I have been down here since 2014 and that was my first "Texas Indigo Snake" to ever meet. They are a good large, thick stout type of non venomous snake in this part of Texas. That old dog chewed Germany acquired comforter it is on is now a favored cat bed. Youtube has a few vs rattlesnake videos on them but they are day active and basically eat anything that can be overpowered and fit in their mouth(rattlesnakes and any other snake it wants to eat will always lose).I linked this video because it has chicken in it too!

This one is apparently a juvenile according to a FB Texas snake group. I hope I meet it again.
