Is this normal???

So Betty laid her first egg today. If was fully intact but she was yelling so loud. I picked her up, she has some fluids coming out of her, its clear, a little white. Is that normal for the first egg?

My other chickens didn't have that happen with their first eggs. It was average size, beautiful green Egg.

That looks like a bit of water fecal matter/fecal matter and mucous being passed - not all that unusual as the vent goes through it's contortions involved in passing an egg.

Ok I had to update. My other hen laid her first egg too. It was the beautiful green one. This girl looks like she may lay one but hasn't yet. May happen in the morning. I brought her in it's so cold here, she's in the kennel for the night. But should I rush her back out in the morning first thing?

So she just pooped... I'm guessing that means egg isn't stuck. I hope she'll be ok.

I'd put her back out with the flock....having her inside could just cause more stress.

She did really good inside laid her egg next day.
