Ok so today is day 24 of hatching Banham Chicken eggs. They were supposed to hatch on day 21.I candled them last night and they were still alive. They were peeping this morning. Why have they not hatch yet?The temp is 99.5 and the hyd is 60.So why have they not hatch yet?

What breed are they? Do they lay very thick shells?

I've got very little experience of incubators (mostly bad) so I have used a broody hen recently.

Maybe someone with more experience can help here.

I'd find it hard not to start one pipping at this late stage.

Do you have a secondary calibrated thermometer in there? They can be tardy if the temp is low throughout incubation. When you candled, were there any internal pips? (Ie could you see beaks in any air cells?) what incubator are you using? It’ll help us help you troubleshoot. Also, where are you located? (We don’t need exact coordinates, just general location, like what country/state you’re in.) what has your humidity been during the rest of incubation? Lots of questions so we can help! :D

Not sure what your point is. You started a thread with a question and were asking for advice/ideas.

I'm sorry i didn't have enough experience to be very useful (except I'm aware a low temp can prolong incubation) but I'm glad @Trisseh asked you for more info so that someone more experienced can offer you some input.

My bantams seem to hatch on day 18, 19 and 20.
