Great advice on blender or processor.
I got processor from thrift store for chix feed. But soaking into wet mash works great too. I also add small amounts of floating fish food to up their protein when laying and molting . It's 13.99 for 59# and protein is 38% My Yorkie loves it has a lot of fish meal in it.

She’s grown all of her feathers back, but the fish good is a great idea for a protein boost in the future!

i agree, it’s likely shorter days. some people put artificial light in the coops but i like to let them do their thing when their bodies want. also, hens have a set number of eggs, so if they lay year round, they’ll stop laying at a younger age

also, i think it’s a good idea that you keep an eye out because when my first group was young, they had great nesting boxes and one of them preferred the wheelbarrow, little dork.

She laid an egg day before yesterday! She never laid daily, but I’ll bet there will be another today!
