Is this normal?

I was watching my bourbon red turkeys, they're approximately 2 and a half months old, I noticed they have Greg skin on their heads along their feather line... Is this truly their skin? Or is it from their feathers falling of?

Thats normal. They lose their down on their heads and necks as they mature.

I knew they have no feathers, but my royal palms just have pink heads. The bourbons have pink, but then this gray on them. Good to know its normal though.
