As long as you haven't treated them with any antibiotics or wormed them, the eggs are perfectly safe to eat. And they should be fine to hatch, too.

Now I'm gonna throw you with this one (I think). I've seen my chickens occasionally look like they are going to regurgitate something. I've been informed that chickens do not do this. What might this be? They have plenty of grit, are free ranged during the day and have store bought feed to pick from as well.
