One of my ducks breathes with his mouth open almost all the time. I don't know if I should be concerned or not. It's not heavy enough that you can see it in his body like inhaling exhaling, but the other ducks aren't doing it. It's not that hot out, 82 degrees. They are in a patio coop with plenty of ventilation plus I have the ceiling fan on. They also had just been out in the water so he shouldn't be thirsty. But when I see him I always want to give the poor thing some water. Of course that means I have to give them all water!

he does look like he's having a tough go of it, especially compared to the others that look almost totally still. @Isaac 0 ?
 
You're in south Florida, so I come to the conclusion your temps are fairly high at night? If yes, and the duck isn't exhibiting any other symptoms, it's likely due to heat.
I guess he's just more sensitive to it than the other 3 then.🤷🏼‍♀️ Even though it's cooler now than it was. Which isn't saying much 🌞
