Is this Pullet really a Cockerel?

She/he is 4 weeks old, also what breed do you think she is? I got her from agway and I'm not entirely sure if she's really a new Hampshire red like they said that she was.

I guess you'll have to wait and see. I'm guessing female golden comet as well.

that is a rooster the way you tell is by the comb is already out plus it's starting to get tail feathers

L and L Ranch all my other chickens have tail feathers bigger than this one's. Th e only reason I was wondering if it was a cockerel is because her/his comb was looking slightly redder than my other's who all have yellow combs right now.

There is no such thing as a New Hampshire Red, there are only New Hampshire's. Looks like a Production Red cockerel to me.

Oh no! I was afraid that more people wood think she's a he.... I'm also afraid that one of my EEs is a boy.......:(

Hi All,

I have been reading and rereading threads were people ask if their little girls are actually little guys. Well, I don't know if that's made me paranoid or what but now I fear that one of my girls is actually a boy.

Thanks so much!
you are not the only one that is paranoid, lol... i am in the same situation w my silver laced wyandottes, but i just don't see the wattles unless i really look for them, now on yours i see them rt away...and their combs are not distinct yet either.... I was told mine were born Apr 9th....confused....
