Is this really a RIR, or something else?

Looks like a red sex link
Rhode island red's don't have white feathers
Interesting. That would mean they mislabeled the egg. Meyer puts a code on each and this egg had the one for RIR. That would be kind of a bummer though because I would prefer a RIR over SL.

I've seen some pictures of young RIR chicks' sprouted wing feathers that are kind of blotchy in color, with some looking like they could have a cream color in the mix, so I wonder if that's just what color sprouted first on my chick. Maybe there's still a chance it's a RIR if that's the case. I'll be in tomorrow to see the chicks so I'll get an updated picture. There should be a lot more growth.

This is one of my RIR babies.. it’s probably between 7-10 days old here.. I don’t have a better picture without red light from the first week but I don’t recall them being as light as yours.

Thanks for posting that! So it looks like yours does have some cream colored blotches in the wings. It just seems like mine are more of a white and my bird overall has much more white. I took some photos today so I will post those.

Updated photos from today. It really seems to me like there is too much white in the wings for this to be a RIR. I did read somewhere that some male RIRs have some white tipping in their first wing feathers, but I can't find the source for that anymore and I also think this is more than tipping. A couple of those feathers are almost entirely white.

Opinions?
