Is this really a silver laced wyandotte?

OK I think I'm catching on to chicken math...I'm "allowed" to have 3 but since I already love this little chick I get more? I don't think I could take it back.

I think I may have found another Silver Laced Wyandotte the same age as my EE so they can brood together.

Thanks for all the responses.

Mommy to wee ones, I think I have your chicks twin lol Yours are adorable!!! I picked the mystery chick because they had the same head markings. I'm chick sitting for a friend and thought it would make it easier to tell mine apart if they had the same "hair" lol. Dumb on my part because I was already told to look for a speckled head. But it looked at me ....

it looks just like one of our EE, we also purchased a SLW, Tammy, and she has turned out to be some sort of BR mystery mix. she's our sweetest so the disappointment was short lived!

Hmmm, well I have several SLW and that is definately not a SLW. Looks like an EE to me. Perhaps they got the order wrong? Oh well, she is very sweet looking and should lay some great eggs.

A pic of my SLW, GLW, Orp and Doms having a treat of warm oatmeal and yougurt.

Sorry I confused things by posting a picture of me EE chick for Mommy to wee ones to see. The older chick on page one doesn't have a pea comb. Don't all EE's have pea combs?

I was struck with chicken math too! I was only going to have 2 and now I have 8 with 7 different breeds. I still want more. I too, want a silver Wyandotte real bad, but I'm done for now.

At least you will have lots of good eggs with your leghorn!

The pathetic thing is I saw this picture before I went. Then they look at you and you go all chicken brain. Thanks, I'll print it off this time and take it with me.

I'm trying to explain chicken math to my DH. So far I'm just getting rolling eyes. Once he tastes those eggs he'll get it (cute looks wont win him over, food will)

I had three girls and that's all I was getting since I had an Eglu. Um, then I went to the feed store and brought home three new babies since A. I'd never had them as babies and B. I had most of the supplies I needed and C. I didn't have these three breeds. So now I have a second Eglu and we're building a huge walk in run in our backyard. No farm land here. Haha Chicken math sucks!

chicken math landed me a SLW cross that I was told was an americauna and now to 4 toed silkies... not to mention 8 chickens when I wanted 6. I need to work on subtraction!

Haunted Chicken, yup you have Sweet Pea's twin, then one with the smaller spot on the top of her head is called Twinkle, and the dark one is named Cinnamon.
I wanted EE, but my feed store was out when I got my Buff O, Rocks & Wyandotte. From her markings, she looks like she might be a golden lace, but I think a little too soon to tell.
When I found the EE, two weeks later, I fell in love with the eye liner around their dark eyes. Can't wait to see when they lose the baby fluff on their head, what they will look like.
I wanted a Maran, but I was told they were hard to get around here. But my next door neighbor has a Maran Roo, and said when they breed with the Buff, the eggs are beautiful. And so far since there are no Roo's in my bunch, was assured they were all pullets. I will gladly take her Maran Roo, who she said is very sweet & gentile.
