Is this really a white leghorn?

My leghorn roo got his comb and wattles really early. They are huge and red and have been for weeks! The leghorn pullets still don't have much at all. It has been the same for the Anconas. These pics were made the same day, roo and pullets are the same age- about 12-13 weeks.

Leghorn, one of mine took a while to grow her comb, then BAM! It'll show up some day.

Amelia here, along with Clara and Fiona were the ones who had growing combs. The 2 in the back, Melody and Sophie had nothing.

Ok thanks everyone. I did not know some leghorn combs stay small even in full lay. Well, atleast I'm pretty certain she is a leghorn now.

My leghorns were just like yours as far as their combs and wattles. Even up to the point when they started laying. They will fill out. Our birds are flighty, but not skittish at all. IN fact its the opposite with them. They come right to us, like to be held and pet, and will readily eat out of our hands.

I don't make pets out of any of my birds but they are all pretty docile. The leghorns don't seem too flightly. They just fit right in with everybody else. (I have to fight them all off when I go feed! lol) They are pretty little birds. They seem sweet, I like them a lot. The roo might turn out to be a different story. He's always busy challenging all the other roos. The Ancona will stand up to him while everybody else runs. Like other birds, when our leghorns get ready to start laying their combs/wattles should get bright red, then we'll know eggs are soon to come!
