Is this safe?

We ordered this for our ducks as a swimming pool, only to just now read about Zinc Poisoning and Hardware Disease. Is this safe for them to swim in and drink out of or not?

I've seen them used as watering troughs so.... I wouldn't think it would hurt your ducks, but I am not a Vet. or anything. I have never heard of anyone having their animals poisoned by a galvanized container, that's a new one on me.

wait!!I have a small galvanized waterier that i used when i had to separate one of my hens in a separate pen....could this be why she passed away though the night.How fast does zinc poisoning react.

I am just reading this now. I know your not to use Fermented feed in metal or ACV in metal but I hadn't heard about zinc poisoning with it.

Something to read up on for sure. I don't use metal at all with my birds including their pools.
