Vaseline works. I used it to get rid of mites from two hens, who came to me with mites. Luckily I had them quarantined and noticed the problem before integrating them into my whole flock. You really have to make sure you get every part of the leg though, right up to where the feathers are, so that the mites are completely covered in it. I did it once a day, and since your chicken's feet aren't in too bad of shape, that should work for you too. Hold them with the vaseline on their legs for about 5 minutes to make sure mites are completely suffocated and to make sure your chicken does not wipe off all the vaseline walking around.
