This afternoon I noticed that one of my hens (who is a little over 9 months old) legs look a little discolored. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the scales on her toes were lifted a bit. They definitely weren’t like that a few days ago.

Is this scaly leg mites? If so, what is the best way to treat this?!

She has perfectly normal looking legs and feet.
Thank you for your response! I am relieved to hear that her legs/feet look normal.

They are normal.
Thank you so much for your response! Such a relief to hear that they are normal. I tend to get worried and think of the worst case scenario 😅

Might rub a bit of olive or sunflower oil over her legs and feet; works like a moisturizer and suffocates any vermin that tries to live in the cracks (of her skin).
Thank you for the advice. Will do that this evening to help moisturize her legs/feet.

They look great! Must make sure her roosts and coop area are clean.
I'm glad that her legs/feet look fine. They just looked a bit different to me yesterday and I started letting my mind wander to the worst case scenario. I always make sure to clean her roost/coop area regularly.
