This has looked like a hen to me (at least compared to my other roosters!) but then it gave a really soft/crow-ish sound when my other roosters crowed. Does that 100% mean it’s a roo? Would appreciate any insight!

I think its a female with a weird tail trait. This is cause of the lack of saddle feathers, and the body shape.

How old is it? The crest looks female, but the tail and uneven color suggest a male to me.
Thanks for the response! Maybe around 3 months? It’s brother started crowing a couple weeks ago and is obviously male so this one just kinda throws me off!

Thanks for your feedback! The copycat “crowing” (if that’s what it was?) made me second guess everything😂

Some of mine have done that, but I'm not 100% sure about gender yet! You will be able tell at 6-7 months! How old is s/he?

I would guess hen based on head shape, but I could be wrong for sure!

Ok I guess I’m just too early! This one is 3ish months. It’s brother started crowing a couple weeks ago so I started jumping the gun expecting results from this one too haha

Your good! Some show signs early and some are late. Usually I have a good grasp at 4-5 months and am 100% at 6!
