"grazing frames" on this forum or on google? You might also want to look up "grazing frames" for another greens source. Also, chickens LOVE white clover - not the flowers, just the leaves. Mine eat it like they are goats.

i cant seem to find the seeds to do the sprouting and we have already gotten several herbs started, but i just read tht somt of them are not any goodGrazing frames and sprouting are both on this website. Both are great ways to have greens for your birds.
i have never heard of winter wheat, i need to look into that. and thanks for the idea of the co-op i woulda danced all around that one. I went to our local feed shop but im not sure i asked them the right questions. i saw a blog about barley and wheat sprouts and that is what we have been looking for, i will see if i can find the black oil sunflower seeds and try that out. Thank youI'm not real sure what most people plant in their grazing frames. They love white clover- I bet that would work well. In the winter you could plant something like winter wheat.
If you have a feed mill or a farmer's co-op you could probably find some seeds to sprout there. Some people buy black oil sunflower seeds and sprout them. Seeds for sprouting will go a long way.

Both are great. You can find out about that too here on this website.
