So Henny Penny, my light Brahma hen has is pretty much recovered from a wing amputation. (several threads about her already) she laid an egg today, the first time since she was injured. (She is four years old) I cracked it into a cup, because I was curious if there was anything strange about it. I noticed that the egg white looked yellow, and there is no air cell inside the egg shell. Is this normal? None of the other eggs from the other hens are like this. I'm sorry if this is a silly question, I'm just kind of on edge since she just had a surgery.

Also, do y'all think the egg is safe to eat? I gave her intro muscular penicillin G shots, but discontinued them about four weeks ago.

Thanks for tolerating this question which seems really silly to me,
Arwoon
