Is this Sour crop?

Didn't notice anything like this yesterday. Her crop is huge and sways when she walks. It's soft and feels fluid filled but I don't smell anything from her breath. Pretty sure she laid an egg today (waiting to confirm if my other hen who lays similar shades of brown lays today). I plan to check her again first thing tomorrow and if it's still like this I'll treat with monistat 7. Not sure how much to give her and how to actually get her to eat it. Can someone assist please?

Hi,

You probably need to figure out why her crop isn't emptying first.

Did you try crop massage to try and move the contents through?
Is she pooping? If so what is coming out the back end?

Did she eat anything unusual? Straw or a lot of grass?

There’s nothing really to move through. This chicken has had impacted crops before and with that I can actually feel contents in there. This time it just feels like fluid. Very soft.

She hasn’t eaten anything unusual and is contained in a run so no access to tall grass or straw.

Check the crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat or drink. IF the crop has not emptied, then begin treatment according to the article linked below.
