Hi.I have a friend who has this juvenile chicken head thrown backwards. Is there a cure for this?

400IU Vitamin E daily with a little cooked egg and 1/4 tablet of human B-Complex seems to be the general consensus on how to try treat wry neck, and it could take weeks to see if it is working, but more info would be needed to even guess at whether or not that is it.
Can the op state if the pullet is drinking and eating, any other symptoms or strange behaviour?
Wry neck can be from vitamin deficiency/neurological issue/bang on head or neck injury/genetics/Mareks or other disease. Many things basically. Is vet care an option?
A video would posted here would be helpful also.

Star gazing, also called encephalomalacia, is a type of wry neck, as @FARMER GIRL101 said. In young chicks it may be a sign of thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency. In juvenile or adult chickens, it is basically the same as wry neck (torticolis) where it can be a neurological symptom of head injury, a symptom of certain diseases such as Mareks, vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, or genetic. So, I would give thiamine (B1) and vitamin E, plus a little cooked egg mixed into feed for selenium as @Cragg Klefor has recommended. Poultry NutriDrench has all of the required vitamins, but wry neck may require more E.

If the chicken cannot lower it’s neck to eat and drink, you will need to help it get enough to eat and drink3-4 times a day. It should be separated so that it doesn’t get picked on. A dog crate with food and water would be good inside the coop so that it starpys part of the flock.
