Is this the beginning of spurs?

I used to have a Blue Orp hen with spurs and now have a Blue Plymouth Rock hen, 7 yrs old with sizable spurs on both legs, a "Sumatracauna" with spurs I have to trim because one grows curved toward her leg (same age as the Rock) and a Barred Easter Egger hen who is 9 years old with "old lady spurs".

That looks like a Speckled Sussex. And if so, it's a pullet. The cockerels tend to have lots of white on the chest in that breed.

By the way, I have several hens with spurs, not just bumps but full-on spurs.
Wow. Ok. They told me brown leghorn. But a speckled Sussex would be fine with me.

X 2. That's a speckled Sussex pullet.

I also have 3 Buttercup hens running around, and all 3 have sizeable spurs.
I'm glad you said that about the buttercup. We recently got a Sicilian buttercup and it is supposed to be a pullet but has pretty good spur spots already and she's only about a month old

Can you post a pic of her too?
'They' may have told you the wrong breed for her too.

I think she's a Sicilian buttercup. She has the double comb
