Is this the correct way to turn eggs prior to incubation

Just started collecting eggs today I've been turning them 3-4 times a day like this but is this the right way to do it?

I usually would prop up one end of the carton on a thick book then prop the other end up next time. That way seems pretty jarring and may break the fragile threads keeping the yolk in place within the egg.
