If you mean will the crop return to its normal position on the chest, then likely yes. Three of my fifteen chicks had that problem, and they're all back to normal.

Hmmmmm. One of my hens was attacked once, had her neck ripped right open and her esophagus torn. She had surgery and recovered, but the feathers took a while to grow back. During that time, there was this little thing in the same location as it is one your chick. I was worried but it turns out to be just a part of their respiratory system. Dunno if thats what this is on your chick, but hopefully this is helpful. The thing on your chick does look a bit bigger though and more solid, so maybe it is the crop?

i have a 7 month of ameraucan with an impacted crop..siz of a golf ball and hard as a rock,,, vet said to give warm water and massage a few times a day, any other suggestions, i can lose this hen....
