She can probably handle 12, use a marker ( pencil wears off to quick under a hen) and date the eggs and if you know what breed laid the egg put that on the egg too. She will be just fine adding eggs under her after only a few days. I've had broodies set on air for 21 days before and then I've given up hope of them getting up so gave once in awhile gave them eggs and they set for another 21. Just watch her to make sure she is eating, drinking and getting up to go poo.

Ill give her the three I have now plus whatever is laid tommorow she gets up to eat drink poop and stretch her legs when I pick her up she still feels meaty every morning when I let the flock out. I have marked the eggs with pencil X's I will write it in marker now and I will write the breeds now because that is a good idea espeacially to tell the Marans and Wellsummers apart.

Thanks,
Henry

I will keep you all updated I am guessing I will end up putting two or three Wellsummer eggs two Marans eggs and two Ameraucana and maybe one or two Dellie under her so we will see who does the best.

My butterscotch ameraucana is the broody and she is such a good girl I can't wait to give her these eggs she gets up every morning to eat and drink and poop on here own which is great very low mantanince broody!
