That's what I thought + Wouldn't more criminals be caught? Seems like the solve rate is pretty low if they monitor every single phone call.

Not all calls are monitored and recorded but there is some words and names will trigger a call to be recorded and reviewed and it is done by the N.S.A. computers and it is done in the U.S.A. not overseas. It is legal to get intel this way but they would not use it in court if they did they would have to explane how they got it.

I agree. I have been in the military and have worked for the phone company for many years. Neither place instills confidence in the efficiency department. Imagine all of the jobs that would be created if all phone calls were listened to. It would take sky scrapers filled with people sitting around listening to the billions of phone calls made each day. Just imagine the juicy information you would hear. If I had to do it, I would probably fall asleep on the job and miss the important phone message containing the word "bomb" or whatever word you might think would trigger the investigation. It does not happen like you see in the movies.

Well I have been complaining about the POTAS in my yahoo comments and all that and for a time couldn't comment at all. I would type my comment in and then when I hit "post" nothing I typed would show up. So I wonder. I'm not the type to use violence and I won't have a gun in the house, so what's to worry about?

I sometimes wonder how people have enough time to think up some of the things they do.
