is this what im supposed to be doing?

i am new to incubating so i want to make sure i do it rite. So i turn the egg over on its other side 3 times a day. at 6:10am, 12:00pm, and 8:00PM. I will do it every day but the last 3 days. at day 3 i will candel them to see if they are fertile and thats all i know so far...is this right?

i am also keeping it in my closet that is like 60 in it. The incubator brand is Little Giant and its styrofoam

First timer, probably standard house flashlight. Wait till day 10 to candle. Else, good to go.

I'd wait to candle until day 7 or even day 10. At day 3 you aren't gonna see much.

will adding more eggs affect the temp and hummidity? i have just 1 egg in there now but on wensday i am goin to get like 10 silkie eggs to add in there. that 1 fertile egg is like my practice egg lol but if it works im gonna hatch it! it will be my random safeway chicken lol

The more you open the incubator the less chance you've got of hatching the eggs. When you add the new eggs on wednesday, the temp will drop a bit, but DON'T adjust anything...the temps will come back up. Then leave it shut for another week and by then you should be able to see veining in the eggs when you candle.

Do you have a turner?....if you don't you'll have to open it to turn them.
