I apologize if this has already been answered by anyone else, but one of my roo's couldn't stand up last evening and got himself stuck outside the run and coop (they are allowed to free range for an hour or so every evening after feeding the other animals) when I went out to check on everyone and put them up for the evening. I had to go outside and find him. When I picked him up and he was very tense and scared acting. I put him up in one of the nesting boxes so I could look at him more closely (he usually sleeps on the floor of the coop). He was gurgling with his mouth open and his head snapped back towards his back and all around his beak looked bloody. I immediately thought it was wry neck and went into the house and got him 1cc of Nutra Drentch and added another cc of water. I have some old antibiotics (Duramycin-10 which is Tetracycline Hydrochloride) that have an expiration date of 10/2017 (it's the powder) so I know it's not as strong as it should be, but according to my vet they don't actually go "bad" they just lose potency. However, I did order some Avio Bromhexine Powder, Doxycycline and Tylosin today which will, hopefully be here in a few days.

Today I started him on sugar water, egg yoke, Nutra Drench, Vet Rx and the old antibiotic (using more of the powder so it will be a little stronger). I can't get him to eat anything. Is it just too soon, and what can I give him other than the egg yoke? I tried giving him a little spinach (his favorite) and he took a tiny bit but that's it.
I took pictures so I can share how he looks (I did open his beak but was unable to look down his throat very well). I used ACV to deworm as recommended by another site last month since it's more natural for them (not sure if it worked as indicated though). Since last week another roo and a hen have decided they would rather be on the floor of the coop instead of the roosting bar. I think they all are getting an upper respiritory issues since our weather has been crazy this year (hot one day, very cold the next, rain then hot again) I read up on using Bactrim (Sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim 800) and that is what I started adding to their water today.
I'm attaching a couple of photos I took this evening so you can see how he looks. He looks swollen around his eye and his nostrils look like they are gunked up to me, but he isn't gaping or gurgling now so I just don't know what else to do at this point.

Oh no, I am sorry for your loss. Do you have another rooster, or could a hawk have hurt him? He did have wry neck or torticolis which can be a symptom caused by a head or neck injury, a disease such as Mareks or some other respiratory viruses, and it can also occur with a vitamin E or thiamine (b1) deficiency. Did his other eye look the same color and have the same appearance? If you still have his body, could you refrigerate it or put it in a cooler on ice wrapped in plastic bags? Then contact your state poultrylab for a necropsy. In CA, they are very affordable, around 35 dollars, and testing can be done for different diseases. Here is a link for contacting them at all 4 locations:
