Thank you I read so many websites that have conflicting information on this breed. And it was with the EE chicks so had no idea until others told me what breed it was.Not always, no.

Through my experience here, I've found that 99% of the internet outside of this forum is highly misinformed.Thank you I read so many websites that have conflicting information on this breed. And it was with the EE chicks so had no idea until others told me what breed it was.
That's why I have to ask bc the SLW information is vastly different everywhere only thing I was hoping for was a real "watch for this" list so I'd have something accurate about the breed from others with SLW experience.Through my experience here, I've found that 99% of the internet outside of this forum is highly misinformed.
Unfortunately it's a waiting game with Wyandottes. That's why I have to ask bc the SLW information is vastly different everywhere only thing I was hoping for was a real "watch for this" list so I'd have something accurate about the breed from others with SLW experience.

Why must this one be so hard to tell??He/she is a cutie for sure
I’ve seen that a lot too, mostly in breed and gender ID.Through my experience here, I've found that 99% of the internet outside of this forum is highly misinformed.
Watch for a large, bright red comb (pullets shouldn’t get that until laying age). Also, since you have a SLW, watch for any shiny silver feathers that look a bit pointed and are coming in different than the rest of the feathers. That would be male-specific feathering. That's why I have to ask bc the SLW information is vastly different everywhere only thing I was hoping for was a real "watch for this" list so I'd have something accurate about the breed from others with SLW experience.
