Is too much fruit bad for chooks?

I'm just wondering if chickens can have an ill affects from eating too much fruit?
We have a pretty large plum tree in the middle of the chicken run and we don't pick the plums because they don't taste the great. Some of the fruit is eaten by kererū (nz wood pigeon), but most of it ends up on the ground. The chickens will eat it, but since there's so much fruit a lot just rots on the ground
They do like the bugs the fruit brings though

I wouldn't worry about it.
you say a lot of it rots, so they are not eating all of it.
I have an apple tree . If an apple falls it is a race between my wife and the chickens to see who gets it.
by keeping the apples cleaned up, I have never had to spray that tree and i have never had a wormy apple..
