* Sorry to hear about your girl. It can be very tough sometimes when you work so hard and it seems like they've made it back, and are past the crisis and then, something like this. I've had it happen with a few animals over the years; It really, really, REALLY sucks.

yes, I had a bad feeling about that too...not good, and it wasn't. But honestly I am glad that she went quickly....I had some sweet times with her, which made it much harder when she did die, but I will remember her well, and I know that she really trusted me. She would just let me pet her, and she didn't try to get away, she wouldn't fight me when I would pick her up...she was very sweet.

Funny how attached we get to little critters. I am the worst. I always pick the sickest, weakest ones that are bound for who knows what if they don't come home with me. I am nursing a poor banty pullet right now. She is so vulnerable, and I think it is that vulnerability that pulls us mommy types right in.
Again, I am so sorry. I know my friends and family don't get my love of animals. It is so nice to find other people here who have that same passion.
I am sorry for your loss but I do want you to know that by posting for help you have helped all of us. I now know that I need vits and electro's in my chicken 1st aid kit. Thank you for sharing and I am so sorry.
