ISA-Brown page. :)))))))

I have six isa browns about 15 weeks I have read here that some had isas starting to lay at 17 weeks and others later. So my question is what is the average age for starting to lay? as mine seem to be showing signs of getting ready to lay.

My earliest to lay was at 16 weeks but most were 18 to 20 weeks. If there combs and wattles are getting pretty red and they are squatting, eggs aren't far off.

Their not squatting yet but their faces lobes and wattle started about 2 weeks ago.hoping to see the squat soon ( fingers crossed)

Post some up tomorrow I haven't got anything recent. And their locked up for the night

Here is one of my girls

I have kept them for some time now. They are probably the most friendly birds I've had and will hop onto my lap looking for treats!

I love these birds. I got a few about two months ago, and they are friendlier than my cat. "Henny" likes to fly up and sit on my head while I walk around. She's a funny chicken. She also is very protective of me, and thus her treats. If anyone is on my lap besides her, she must come up and sit too!
