ISA-Brown page. :)))))))

Hey guys I found this stray chicken on the KFC parking lot... Ironic I know! I was just wondering if this is a USA brown? Also what age and gender it is. Thank you in advance :)

Hard to say if it is an ISA Brown but I would definitely say it is a Red Sex Link pullet. It may not have started laying yet by the looks of it. I have both ISA Browns and Red Sex Links. They look identical.

It's pretty aggressive towards my flock too. Do you have any idea if its a hen and how old?

Since she is the new kid on the block they will establish a new pecking order. From the pictures I'd say she is a pullet about 4 to 6 weeks away from laying. First I would quarantine her for about a month in case there are any diseases she may be carrying that your flock is not immune to and vice verse where your birds could be immune to something she isn't. I always keep new birds separated in the beginning then introduce them in a cage in the pen they are going in to let the other birds get used to her. Males I don't worry about as they will usually be ok as long as there isn't another male in the same pen, but with females that is a different story so I let the others kind of get used to the new bird through a cage for a few days before I let her in with her new flock. There will still be some bickering, or I release the new bird into the flock when they are free ranging which gives the birds more space to run. If she gets so aggressive, back into the cage for a few more days. This is just my opinion and how I integrate new birds.

I have 1 ISA Brown and I am absolutely smitten for her, she comes to me when I enter the coop and get a good old pat, loves so be cuddled to I find myself doing my yard chores with her in my arms.. I have a black australop and a white leghorn but they are not as affectionate just yet.. I think they have a few mental issues actually there nuts.

I have two isa brown pullets as well as two new Hampshire Roos and one nh pullet. If the nh and the Isa mix, what could I expect to get? Assuming my isa browns are that.

Well I just wanted to do an udate on my chicken I found in the KFC parking lot. Her name is Kasey but she is not laying yet. How much longer do you think it will be until she does?
