Thank you much for the info. I know absolutely nothing about chickens. My boyfriend has ISA Brown hens and was looking for a rooster, which I was trying to find for him. He also did not know this. So again, thank you.
No problem. Don't get me wrong, you can breed an ISA rooster with an ISA hen they just don't necessarily produce ISA chicks -- though something close is probable. An ISA's parents are two different types of chickens (and the parents' parents two different types and so on...) so the offspring of two ISAs can "revert" to something more like any of the given parent (and/or grandparent, great grandparent, etc) stock.
