Over the summer some of our ISA Brown hens went broody unexpectedly. We have a pure-bred Ameraucana rooster with them so we decided to let the ladies try to hatch some chicks. We had 2 eggs successfully hatch, but sadly only one chick made it to adulthood. She just laid her first egg and it came out green! Just wanted to share in case anyone else was curious about this breed combo.
Attached are pictures of the green egg and the ISA Brown/Ameraucana cross hen that hatched, now full-grown.

I'm glad this is a recent post, our chicks are hatching, lavender ameraucana roo over isa brown hen. One is yellow and 2 so far are black. My husband just informed me that a bunch were from our phoenix roo over isa brown hen. What color were your chicks, lol? I'm excited (moreso in the ameraucana isa brown combo).

How exciting! That sounds like a pretty mix. I’ll attach pictures of our chick and her parents.
