Rest in Peace 1963-2021
By his two and a half week old son Rex now dubbed the Delarex. The combatants:
Rita had her baby Rex free ranging around the yard and I pulled Isaac from his pen to give him treats because that is what I do....visit Speckledhen and spoil her birds. So Rita comes around a corner and Isaac sees her and he rushes over and dances for her...all excited he dances around her and stops when she ignores him. Isaac sees the little tyke and checks him out...no big deal. He is not used to being around babies but was a very good boy.
So Isaac began dancing for Rita again and suddenly he was viciously attacked....little Rex rushed over and flogged Isaac, bouncing off his chest like a pebble...Isaac lowered his head to look at the pest when suddenly Rex flogged him in the face four more times and then for good measure gave his daddy a poke in the eye. *snicker* Daddy was rapidly losing patience with this child so quickly the child was snatched up before Dad could thunk him. Hahaha
Little Rex was protecting his mama from that big white dancing beast. Such bravery...such silliness and very risky for a little man. Poor sweet Isaac was totally caught off guard and gave a stern look that reminded me of Foghorn Leghorn saying "Now Boy I say now Boy".
So Beware of this new Predator called the Delarex because it can strike at any time....vicious. fearless pest to adults and totally adorable.
