Shipped all the way from from Tennessee, my friend James from Skyline Poultry surprised me with a box of Isabel Welsummer chicks. I was very touched by such a generous gift, and am quite excited to see this little fluffs grow.

The by lavender diluted gold/red groundcolor is called isabel.

Egg color is almost at optimal. Picture is showing the comparison to my Cottage Hill Line of French Black Copper Marans. I can't wait till they fill out for you Carolyn. You'll really be impressed with the blossoming of colors they'll display.
