OK, I feel so dumb asking this but I can't find any references to it anywhere: I have a possible sick chicken isolated from the others in a separate tractor run, but only one coop for them to roost in at night. What do with my sick chicken at night?
I don't want her to be in the coop at night in case the disease spreads, but I don't want to stress her out more or risk her getting sick even more, but I have no other place to put her. The tractor run is safe and about 3'x5' with a roost perch and her own food and water. The entire thing is surrounded by hardware cloth with a roof overhead.
I isolated her because she kept closing her right eye. It's not puffy, just a little red around her eyelids. I used simple saline drops to wash it out.
Anyway, what should I do with her once the others go to bed? Is her current place ok for her to sleep in? Am I making mountains out of mole hills?
