Hey everyone. I have ducks, chickens, and guineas. Recently, the alpha drake (Putz) in our flock has started disappearing for a day or two at a time and when he returns the other drake (Henry) in the flock bullies him. Historically, Putz has bullied Henry into submission and is bigger as well. Any advice?
It sounds as if Putz is no longer alpha. Once deposed it is difficult for a male of any breed to regain the position. As long as he is not being excessively abused I would simply allow him to adjust to his new position in the flock. What breed of duck are they?
