Doxycycline is a good antibiotic for respiratory issues, tetracyclines work well, even Amoxicillin works for lung issues.

Go ahead and start her on one of these antibiotics. If nothing else, it can perhaps rule out either bacterial respiratory infection or heart failure if she improves on it or doesn't.

I have amoxicillin right now. I will look to see if we have a -cycline.

Do you think it will be fine if we skip the vet appt? I just don’t want any avian flu drama coming up, especially since Eddie has respiratory issues going on.

250mg per day for the amoxy. Yeah, it's okay to skip the vet if you want, although I doubt there's any danger of them nailing Eddie for bird flu.

Amoxicillin should constantly be in the blood stream and given twice a day. So 250 mg, 2 times daily, 12 hours apart, for a bird Eddie's size. Assess her at day 4 or 5. If she is improving, continue for 7 to 10 days, or until she has no symptoms for 3 continuous days in a row. If she shows no improvement, then stop at day 5.

I feel like Eddie’s been giving amoxicillin too many times before. I have a mix that goes into the water, I will link it. Is that effective?

Eddie is not drinking a ton of water and that only goes into drinking water.

Is there a link I can order doxycycline or tetracycline?

Can tetracycline or doxycycline be picked up over the counter or be bought online? I can’t find much when I look it up. Are they always powders that go into water?

Page 2 has Doxy/Tylan tablets and page 3 has Amoxicillin pills. Pills and tablets can be opened or crushed and dumped into baby food and given via an empty syringe into the mouth or put in a food you know she will completely consume.

Should I just give amoxicillin now and see if it helps?

I also have the powder that I am fine with doing of doxy-tylan but I will just have to make sure Eddie is drinking it, and dev will also be getting antibiotics that way then.
