What I would like to know is what part of the country all of you are in. I know @TwoCrows is in New Mexico, what about the rest of you?

Since this is happening to people on desktops & phones on different browsers, doesn't this suggest that this not browser or device related?

I'm not sure. It still appears to be relatively sporadic, but it also appears to be exclusive to XF 2.2. Additionally, BYC isn't the only forum to have this issue, and I recently made a post on the XF forum about it.

Can you remember if the attachment links in your post led to the permission error shortly after you made the post, or was it always the "not found" error?

Of course it's a good idea to be up to date, but that is not going to matter in this case.
