Issues uploading photos.

I know I am not an idiot and I know that it is hard for me to tell if it is toggled on or off.

If bb code is on, one cannot attach using the mountain icon. One of @ColtHandorf 's failed uploads was using the mountain icon, so one can assume bb code was off at that time.

That picture was copied and pasted in from discord.
It was not working in the LGBT thread two days ago.
It is a large file which has been my primary issue.

If it actually uploaded and then yielded a no permission error when posted, then bbcode was probably on.

Because it wouldn't have been possible to upload it that way in the first place with bbcode disabled.
