Does anyone else have issues with the temperature and the egg turner? When I take out the turner on day 18, the temp drops about 3 degrees and I have to mess with it for several hours to regulate it again. I know the motor on the turner is creating heat because when I feel it, it is warm. I assume when I remove it from the bator, the temperature drops because the motor creating the heat is gone. Has anyone else encountered this ? If so, what do you do to counter this? I'm losing a lot of chicks that are fully formed, but not absorbing the yolk and dying before they pip. Could this change in heat from the turner be my problem? And how can I fix this? Even if I left the turner in and shut it off, the motor would no longer be creating that extra heat. I work full time and am gone about 10 hours all day so hand turning the eggs isn't a good option for me.
